About Us
Pastor - Mark Conway
Mark is a bi-vocational pastor and was led to Hickory Grove in 2003. He, his wife Amy and their 4 children have been an integral part of the mission and outreach of the church. Mark cares deeply for God’s people and leads us in fulfilling God’s command to love others and make disciples. He preaches the Bible as written and lets the Holy Spirit direct his messages.
Deacons - Bill Ennis, David Parris, Aaron Miller
Bill, David, and Aaron clearly evidence the characteristics of deacons as described in 1 Timothy 3. They work together and individually to love, serve and encourage our church families through times of change, ministry, struggles, and celebrations. Each is a long-time Pleasant Hill resident and loves his church and community. And, they are a little goofy sometimes.
Music Director - Jo Cooper
Music Director - Jo Cooper
Jo has been our music director since 2002 and enjoys teaching us new songs throughout the year. She leads us in worship through a mixture of traditional and contemporary music accompanied by the piano and occasionally, the Hickory Grove Praise Band. She also helps coordinate various activities throughout the year.
Behind the Scenes
We are a small but mighty group who all pull together to make the church run efficiently and effectively. Everyone plays a role in making sure our guests are welcome, our members are cared for and most of all, our needs are prayed over. We have a fine library with print and audio books as well as videos; we have some awesome cooks who minister to families in need and make sure we are well-fed before business meetings; there are multiple individuals who take care of all those behind-the-scenes administrative, maintenance and cleaning tasks; and of course, we believe our Sunday School and Children’s Church teachers are some of the best God ever produced.
