Miss Vicky started our visits to the local nursing/rehab facilities to provide music and fun for the residents. They get a chance to "Name that Tune" and win a prize - which might just be something handmade by Miss Vicky herself! Miss Vicky has gone to heaven to be with her Lord she loved so much, but we try to uphold her traditions.
The children enjoy decorating Christmas ornaments to hand out during our annual Christmas caroling adventures.

HGBC appreciates our local police and first responders. We love to create goody baskets and cards to show them how much their service to our communities means to us.

At times, we get creative and have a special work day to create handmade items for local shelters. We have hosted a baby shower to collect items for a local pregnancy center and our talents have created pillow cases, dolls, and more to share with those less fortunate than ourselves.

We started a drive in 2025 to fill Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes filled with exciting items for children who may never get a Christmas present. We decided Christmas in July would be a fun way to kick off the event.

Hickory Grove members delight in sharing food, clothing and donations to the local food pantry and thrift shop. Our main food drive is during the excitement of the Super Bowl; we call it the Souper Bowl Food Pantry Drive!
