We are seeking to follow God's purpose, share God's love and forgiveness, and welcome anyone to join our family as we carry out His commission. We pray that you will see our genuine love for you and your family.

Founding
We began in 1914 as a church plant of First Baptist Church Pleasant Hill to establish a place of worship for rural families. Even though it has been over 100 years, we still love people, support missions, and preach God's word as written. We plan to continue as God directs until the day of His return.
Objectives
HGBC strives to be a dynamic congregation empowered by the Holy Spirit to
- share Christ daily in our church, community, and throughout the world
- worship, praise and proclaim God boldly
- experience an ever-increasing fellowship with God
- respond in love and obedience to God’s leadership
- commit our lives, personalities, and possessions to the Lordship of Christ in order to bring others into God's family
